Mental Health and Wellbeing - NHS Coping with loss and grief

As we work through the disruption and impact of the current COVID-19, it has left us to deal with a tsunami of emotions from anger, anxiety, fear and denial.

 

These emotions are often associated with grief.

 

We grieve when we lose someone or something that is important to us and of value. This can be a bereavement, job loss, relationship breakdown, loss of opportunities, freedom and social connections.

 

The video below will explore some of the losses experienced throughout the pandemic, what grief is, how it can affect our mental health and look at healthy ways in which we can manage our grief response.

Mental Health and Wellbeing - NHS Sleep and Mental Health

The stress of living through lockdown will for some be playing havoc with their sleep.

 

Remember it is perfectly normal to have a range of emotional reactions to the current situation which is affecting us all. So finding it hard to sleep during this time of uncertainty will be very common.

 

Given that lockdown measures may be in place for the foreseeable future, it is more important than ever we practice good sleeping habits to help us cope through these difficult and challenging times.

It is important that we take care of our mental health just like we do our physical health. Having a one good adult or adults can help us through difficult and challenging times.
